Carter loves taking pictures lately. He is taking a picture of Allie and me. He can't quite figure out how to hold the button, then push a little harder to take it. But then after he holds it for a while he want to see the picture he just took, so I helped him out a little on this one. Allie thinks its so funny! Carter loves wearing his tie to church. His church shirt was getting too small so I got him a new one and when he put it on he looked so old. I can't believe my baby is getting so big! I tried to add some pictures of the kids dancing, but they must have been videos because they wouldn't post. Anyway, the kids have been dancing around the house lately and they love to make videos and take pictures of it. Sometimes we turn all the lights off and they dance by flashlight, Sometimes its in the day, sometimes we turn on Celine Dion(because thats who Sara loves right now), sometimes they sing their own dancing song. I just love watching them play together and laugh.

Settlers Park

We are all so excited for some warm-er weather. We went to this park in the fall and they've been anxious to go again all winter. The park has some huge musical instruments, lots of slides, rock climbing, and in the summer a little water park. I guess everyone had the same idea as us because we got there and the parking lot was full and there were probably 100 people there. We stayed anyway. The kids call it the pirate park Hanna and Allie Sara on the tallest rock Carter and Allie Carter Sara These are drums, I don't know why my kids were climbing on them. Hanna has been too goofy for pictures lately. Everytime she sees the camera out she hides or makes a crazy face. I caught her off guard for this one. I love watching my kids run. These two couldn't wait to get to the slides.

Sara is always a clown, laughing and creating some kind of fun! We sit down to dinner the other night and Carter says, "Mom, look at me, I'm a pirate! ARRRR!" A couple nights before Valentines the kids told me not to go into my room until bedtime. When I went in they had left this for me. The note says, " Dear mom and dad, we know it is a little early but we did not want to bring this stuff to Cedar, so we did it tonight. (Mom don't lay on your bed till dad gets home. Love, Hanna, Sara, Allie, Carter P.S. We love you P.S.S. Happy Valentines." They are such sweet kids!

Sledding

We went up to woods ranch with the Prisbrey family and had a blast. It was the perfect day for sledding because it was warm outside and the snow was great. Angela and Jared (this is before he learned to eat the snow) Jason and Elizabeth tubing down the hill Heather and Mari my georgeous sister-in-laws. I consider it a great compliment when people tell me that I look like I am their sister (not in law). Heather and her baby Olivia Isabelle Johnson laid back, taken it easy down the hill, just chillin' Michael Johnson made about a thousand trips up and down the hill like this. It felt like there was nothing between the hard snow and my bum. Christmas

We used the video camera on Christmas and forgot to get out the camera. Here are two pictures of their new pj's on Christmas eve and one picture of Allie Christmas day (Scott and I love her hair like this so had to take it....no, this one picture didn't remind us to take pictures of the others since it was Christmas...) We left Boise on the 26th for Utah and had Christmas parties with both families. This is Sara and Hanna as Angel's at the Melling family Christmas party.

Snow

I was remembering last years Christmas break this morning. It was cold outside, too cold to play, and there was no snow on the ground. 2 full weeks of kids inside. This year I am grateful for snow and kids playing outside in it. We woke up to another 3 inches today. The kids can hardly wait to finish their breakfast and head out. Sara and Carter eating icicles (I did it as a kid too, now I realize how disgusting that is) Hanna and Allie playing in the planter (Allie thought it would be a fun place, Hanna didn't) Allie in the snowsuit that I wore when I was her age. My mom didn't save many clothes from my childhood, but she couldn't part with this because I was so cute in it. She found it in the closet when Hanna was about 5. I am happy that she didn't get rid of it because all of my girls have worn it and it is too cute. She didn't save the matching moon boots. Oh well. Stopping for a picture while trying to get icicles off the roof. Snow is exhausting!

Random December

The last week of school before Christmas break is a blur....partly because we were so busy and partly because the kids were so wild that I blocked it from memory. We got a lot of snow and so the kids didn't go outside for recess which added to the energy. Allie had a dentist appointment and was happy to have no cavities. The dentist made her a balloon dog, but she was playing with it and it popped. She wanted a picture of what was left. YES!...we are in such a hurry some mornings that they have to eat breakfast in their coat with their backpack on...I'm not trying to win a motherhood award here, just trying to get through life. Carter was so excited to "help" at Allie's class Christmas party. He got to take home some popcorn and decorate a cookie. The other moms and teacher kept asking how old he is and when I told them 3 they said "he is a great communicator". I had to laugh, if they only knew him when he was one and yelling "mom, get me out of my bed!" These next two pictures are out of order. I'll just say that this is Hanna feeling bad, very, very, bad.... ...because her and Sara were wrestling and Hanna's knee knocked out Sara's tooth. It was actually a good thing because the last time Sara went to the dentist he told her that if it didn't fall out soon he would have to pull it. Don't worry, there were no tears or pain, just a lot of laughing and surprise.

First Boise Snowfall

The kids are so excited to have snow on the ground for the first time this winter. We spent 20 minutes finding all of our snow clothes, and another 20 getting them all dressed and then they spent about 20 minutes outside before realizing how cold it was and coming in for hot chocolate. They did shovel the driveway (kind of). Allie trying to swing, but sliding off. These two are such good friends.
